Michael Kouyoumdjian, CPA

Managing Shareholder

Michael has over 15 years of extensive experience working with employee-owned businesses, from inception to maturity, and specializes in tax planning and compliance. While consulting with clients in their ESOP journey, his knowledge of Section 1042 strategies, corporate structuring, and succession planning helps clients maximize tax efficiency while aligning ownership goals. Mike is actively engaged within the ESOP community and regularly hosts educational presentations with groups of professionals and business owners.

Michael Zermeño, CPA

Shareholder, Accounting & Auditing

With over 10 years of experience with GAAP ESOP accounting and employee benefit plan audits, Michael speaks nationally at industry association and business meetings on topics related to ESOPs to further the understanding of the complexities and benefits that can be gained from an ESOP. He has been an active member of The ESOP Association’s Finance Committee since 2017.

Cristen Stier, CPA, MBA

Shareholder, Accounting & Auditing

Since joining RP&B CPAs as a Partner in 2016, Cristen has worked with clients with complex accounting needs and oversees audits, reviews and compilations. She lends her experience as a senior-level corporate financial executive to clients in need of consultation, strategy assistance and business insights. In 2024, Cristen assumed the position of Vice President of Fundraising for The CA/NV ESOP Association Chapter and actively advocates the value of employee ownership across the region. She speaks on the topic of ESOP Accounting at the regional conference every year.
